PATRIOT framework enables testing of distributed IoT applications by providing test developers with features such as network virtualisation, data simulation and/or interaction with hardware devices all integrated into a single tool.
Extending the jUnit 5 framework, PATRIOT can be easily integrated into existing CI/CD tools and/or IDEs and provide standard test result reports.
One of PATRIOT's components is responsible for simulating network connections between components of the System Under Test. The goal is to provide interfaces that will allow definition, start and deployment of selected network topologies and their control from the testing environment.
PATRIOT can emulate different types of physical devices. It also has the capability of generating different types of data by probabilistic algorithms which allows emulation of a realistic behavior of such devices.
